Letter from the Local Editor
Dear Visitor,
Welcome to Charleston, the most historic city in America. On behalf of HCP/Aboard Publishing, I am pleased to bring you the area's most prestigious visitors' guide.
The goal of this publication is one of introduction. With so many historic sites and attractions, hundreds of wonderful and unusual restaurants, unique shopping opportunities, and numerous outdoor activities, it is impossible to describe everything there is to do and see in the Charleston area. Instead, I hope this book helps you begin a journey of discovery—one that will bring you back to the area again and again.
Any one of our tours and attractions will give you the groundwork to begin your Charleston adventure. But any good explorer will look beyond the obvious. I encourage you to explore our gardens and graveyards… browse our antique shops and art galleries… play our golf courses… dine with the locals... and relax on any of our magnificent beaches. I'm sure you'll discover your ideal vacation experience right here.
Charleston is like no place you've ever visited. I hope you enjoy your stay and return soon.
Sincerely,
Patra Taylor Bucher

Renowned Chef, Donald Barickman and Executive Chef, Craig Deihl collaborate on the menu for Cypress that highlights the rich bounty of the Lowcountry. An authentic wood-burning grill is a major emphasis on the cuisine, adding distinctive flavor to many dishes. Tableside presentations and made-to-order dessert soufflés add a dramatic touch. Imagine owning real estate where the game you love is so passionately cared for, a private golf community, where generously scaled estate sites, 1-7 acres, melt into the scenery; near the course but mostly un- seen. Here the natural environ- ment and golf coexist so harmon- iously, Audubon International recognized Briar's Creek for its efforts. Please call: 1-877-718-4962. |
